3 Weeks

Tomorrow marks 3 weeks since I arrived home from my adventure in New Zealand. It's crazy how quickly the time has flown by and how slowly it's crept, all at the same time. New Zealand feels like so long ago and yet it's amazing how near and dear it is to my heart. The last two weeks (since my last update) have had their own set of ups and downs, joys and sorrows. Transition is such a weird thing! One day I'm stoked to be here and full of expectation and anticipation and the next day I find myself having to fight for vision, hope and joy in this unknown season. All I know is that God is good, He's a perfect leader and, unlike my emotions, He does not change! I am so thankful :)

It has been so great connecting with family, friends, some work peeps and getting re-acquainted with Winnipeg again. Last week I thought for sure that I was having major culture shock when I read the word "hockey" and thought it should have said "hokey"(google Hokey Pokey Ice Cream). It's been so encouraging for my heart getting together with people and continually revisiting all that the Lord has done in my heart and all of the amazing adventures over the past 10 months. Remembering is such a key to thankfulness. I want to constantly remember what the Lord has done and have anticipation and expectation in my heart for what is to come. He was so faithful to me in this past season and He will be so faithful to me in this season.

Tomorrow Kristi, Shane and I head down to Kansas City for a little get away, to celebrate their 7th anniversary and to seek the Lord for clarity and direction in this transitional season. I'm so excited!

Be blessed.
