Today is my sister & my dad's birthdays! I'm in New Zealand, Kristi is in Kona, Hawaii, and my dad is back home in Canada, which makes celebrating a little difficult this year. I wish I could be in Kona celebrating with my sister and I wish I could be in Canada celebrating with my dad. Alas, a blogger birthday greeting and a phone call will have to do!

Every year my sister and I set aside a whole day to celebrate each others birthdays! We do girlie things, encourage one another and on those days I get to spend time with my best friend on her birthday day. Today, if I were in Canada with my lovely sister, I would want to take her for a pedicure, take her to Pine Ridge Hollow for lunch, take her horseback riding, make her a nice dinner and end the day with a Pumpkin Spice latte or frap and a walk around St. Vital park. I would give her a back massage, tell her how much I love her and list all of the things that I absolutely love about her. Here's a sneak peak into what the list of my favorite things about my sister would look like:

I love that you are my friend. Friendship with you makes sisterhood so much sweeter :)
I could not ask for a kinder, sweeter, more encouraging, real, honest, trustworthy and inspiring sister and friend. Thank you for being who you are and for your love.

For those who do not know, Kristi and Shane joined the Call2All DTS in Kona, Hawaii at the end of September. We're currently both in the YWAM family in different parts of the earth. The Lord is doing awesome things in Kristi & Shane and I'm excited to see all that He's going to do in this season in their lives!
